NKU Steely Library Information
General Information Gateway students, faculty, and staff have full access to the circulating collections of Steely Library. You can explore the collections by searching Steely Library's online catalog, NKUIRE. The main Circulation Desk is located on the third floor at the Plaza entrance to Steely Library. Materials can also be circulated from a location near the Welcome Center on the first floor. Videos, CD's, LP's, and related formats are handled in Media Collections, on the second floor, Room 215. Please be prepared to identify yourself as a Gateway student when utilizing Steely Library's services. Gateway students may also access to the NKU Steely Library Research Databases at over 60 public access machines located throughout the Library. Gateway students do not have access to the computer lab located on the first floor of the library. Access to those computer is restricted to Northern Kentucky University students. Additional information for Gateway Patrons is provided by NKU on their website. Loan Periods Faculty: End of each Semester (May 15, August 15, & December 15)Staff: 30 days Students: 21 days Parking When visiting the NKU Steely Library, Gateway students, faculty, and staff should park at the Welcome Center parking garage located on Nunn Drive (Map). Take your parking garage ticket to the Circulation Desk in Steely Library to be validated for Free Parking.NKU Steely Library Hours (Fall Semester)
November 26 - 28; open Sunday, Nov. 29: Thanksgiving Holiday December 19 – 20; Jan. 9 – 10, 2010: Post-semester weekends December 25 – January 4, 2009: Winter Break Requesting a Book from NKU Steely Library Books may now be requested from NKU's Steely Library for delivery to the Boone, Covington, or Edgewood campus libraries. Please follow these directions.
IMPORTANT: You will receive an email from NKU saying that the book you requested is available at the Steely Circulation Desk. Ignore the email message. The item(s) you requested will be picked up by the Gateway Courier. The Gateway Library will send an email to your Gateway account when your book has arrived. It is your responsibility to pick up the book from the Gateway Library you designated and return it to the Gateway Library before the date due. Any fines for late returns or damages are the responsibility of the person who checked out the materials. Need Help?
