Title of Policy: Student I.D. Policy

1. Policy statement or reference: This policy reflects the process for obtaining a Student I.D.

2. Overview:

A valid Gateway Community and Technical College identification card is available for all registered students. The GCTC ID card identifies current students and allows access to certain college services.

3. Responsible Party: Vice President of Student Affairs and Director of Library and Information Services

4. Procedures:

To obtain a student I.D. card, a student must present a current copy of a Gateway Community and Technical College class schedule. The student I.D. card is valid for the current year, beginning August 1 and expiring July 31 of the following year. The student I.D. must be renewed each academic year.

A replacement card may be obtained if the card has been lost, stolen, or damaged. The fee to replace an I.D. card is $10.00 and is payable in the Business Office. To obtain a replacement card a current copy of a class schedule and receipt for the $10.00 fee must be presented to the library staff.

5. Policy Review and Revision: This policy will be reviewed annually by Student Affairs and Library and Information Services.
