Save a Tree – Recycle!
, - March 20, 2009
Cleaning out your notebook, your desk drawers or file cabinets? Be sure to put any paper you are discarding into the paper recycling bins conveniently located on Gateway campuses. Recycling reduces our footprint on the environment, saves trees (thus improving air quality), and also saves Gateway money in disposal costs. Recycled paper can be sold; we must pay to dispose of other trash.
Think you are already recycling all your waste paper? That’s true only if you use the recycling bins. Paper trash in office, classroom and hallway containers is not recycled unless it is placed in the appropriate containers marked for recycling. (This avoids contaminating the waste paper with non-recyclable materials.)
So look for the containers in classrooms, offices and hallways at all campuses and support this planet-saving process!
